I took an arrow to the knee / Skyrim

I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

The above phrase is probably the most popular Internet meme of the period. In case you didn't know, it comes from the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. All guard NPCs in that game have a certain number of preset lines to say and there's no doubt that this one is the most memorable of them.

Just think about it - how many freaking guards could have had this same accident? Well, it seems that all of them. So if you're a security guard in real life, be careful: bad guys don't shoot arrows anymore - they use bullets nowadays. And, according to Skyrim, getting a high velocity projectile to your knee is bound to happen in this line of duty. :D

But I have to wonder - if arrows had a tendency to hit the knees in those virtual times, why didn't they reinforce their armor in that area? I'm just kidding you, of course. :)
